Upon arriving at your residence, a member of our staff will introduce themself, check you and your pet in, and give you a chance to get acquainted with our team.
Medical History and Evaluation with Dr. Brigette Dean-Hines
Next, we’ll discuss your pet’s medical history and Dr. Brigette Dean-Hines will conduct an evaluation of your pet’s health.
Talk Treatment Options & Schedule Future Appointments
Finally, Dr. Hines will recommend treatment options and our staff will help you schedule any future appointments if necessary.

How can I pay for service?
At Derby City Vet, we accept cash, check, and debit. We accept major credit and debit providers including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and Care Credit. We also partner with pet insurance companies. Due to the nature of our service, we charge a house call fee that can vary based on factors including location, transportation, emergencies, etc.
We accept CareCredit which offers affordable financing options that help turn your healthcare expenses into manageable monthly payments.
When can I pay for service?
Payment is due at the time of service.

Due to the nature of our service, we charge a house call fee that can vary based on factors such as day and time (after normal business hours, week vs. weekend), location, transportation, emergencies, etc. Please note that you will still be charged for appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice.

Order your pet’s healthy, veterinarian-recommended food directly from Purina.
Through the American Veterinary Medical Foundation’s Veterinary Care Charitable Fund, our hospital is able to help animals rescued from abuse and neglect and the pets of clients facing personal hardships. Your tax deductible donations to the AVMF on behalf of our hospital will help us help animals.
